What's this training about?

Many companies see potential in automation and AI but aren't sure where to start. This training gives you a concrete, manageable way to get going – without requiring a big IT project or technical background.

The focus is practical: finding tasks that are genuinely worth automating, understanding what a tool like Power Automate can do, and taking a first working step.

Who is the training for?

The training suits operations managers, administrative staff and leaders at small and medium businesses who want to reduce manual work and work smarter – without getting stuck in the technology.

What's included?

  • Finding repetitive tasks in your business
  • Assessing what's actually worth automating – and what isn't
  • An introduction to Power Automate and simple workflows
  • AI as support in administrative processes
  • Concrete examples from real workflows
  • Next steps towards a working solution

What is Power Automate?

Power Automate is Microsoft's tool for automating workflows between the apps and services you already use – like Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel. No coding required. Power Automate is often included for simpler flows with standard connectors in Microsoft 365. More advanced connections, premium features and certain integrations may require an additional licence.

Power Automate can solve a lot without AI

Yes, everyone's talking about AI right now. But in many companies there's still plenty of manual work that can be solved with simple, rule-based automation.

That could mean copying information between systems, saving email attachments to the right folder, sending reminders, sorting incoming messages, or filtering out things that should never land on anyone's desk in the first place.

With Power Automate you can often get started quickly, without building large systems or using advanced AI.

The point isn't to use AI everywhere. The point is choosing the right solution for the right workflow.

Power Automate doesn't rule out AI. On the contrary, rule-based flows can be combined with Copilot, AI models and agents when a workflow needs more interpretation, summarisation or decision support.

What can be automated?

Common examples from small businesses — without advanced AI:

  • Automatically save email attachments to the right folder
  • Send automatic reminders and follow-ups
  • Sort or forward incoming email
  • Create tasks from form responses
  • Notify the right person when a file changes
  • Move information between Microsoft 365 tools
  • Start approval flows for simpler cases
  • Reduce copy-paste between systems

Format

A half day focused on walkthrough and workshop, or a full day with time to actually start building a flow together. Can be held online or on-site.

Realistic expectations

We don't promise a big transformation. The goal is that you leave the training with a concrete, well-defined next step – and an understanding of where AI and automation actually deliver value in your day-to-day work.
