What do participants learn?

The training gives a concrete, practical picture of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Participants leave with an understanding of what Copilot can actually help with, how to write good instructions, and which situations call for extra care.

Copilot isn't a worse ChatGPT — it's a different tool

If you're used to ChatGPT or Claude, Copilot can feel less flexible at first. But in a work environment, Copilot has a different strength: its connection to Microsoft 365.

When you use Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint, the AI support sits closer to your documents, meetings, email and presentations.

In the training, Peter shows how to get more out of Copilot through better instructions, the right use cases, and smarter ways of working in the tools you already use.

Who is the training for?

The training suits employees and managers who use Microsoft 365 in their daily work. No prior AI knowledge is required. We start from the basics and build practical understanding step by step.

Common participants include administrative staff, finance teams, HR, sales, project managers and managers who want to understand how Copilot works in practice.

Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint

The training focuses on how Copilot is used in the Microsoft 365 tools where the work already happens: documents, spreadsheets, email, meetings, chats and presentations.

Hands-on parts of the training

After the training, participants can use Copilot to:

  • Summarise meetings and Teams threads
  • Create first drafts of documents in Word
  • Edit and improve text
  • Analyse and structure information in Excel
  • Create material for presentations in PowerPoint
  • Prioritise and draft replies in Outlook
  • Write better instructions for Copilot
  • Understand when Copilot fits better or worse than ChatGPT and Claude

Format

The training runs as a 2-hour introduction or a half-day with more time for hands-on exercises. It can be adapted to your business and your actual tasks.

Can be held online via Teams or on-site with you – depending on what suits your group.

Security and sensitive information

We go through what Copilot can see, how organisational data is handled, and how to work safely with confidential information. It's an important topic and always included.

When should you use Copilot — and when do other AI tools fit better?

ChatGPT and Claude can be strong when you want to reason freely, explore ideas, or work outside your company's Microsoft environment.

Copilot is especially useful when the work happens in Microsoft 365 — for example in meetings, email, documents, presentations and internal workflows.

The point isn't to pick one tool for everything. The point is understanding where Copilot fits best.

Outcome

Participants leave the training with a concrete understanding of how Copilot can be used in their day-to-day work — and know how to get more out of it in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.

They also know when Copilot is actually the right tool compared to, say, ChatGPT or Claude.

Frequently asked questions

What is Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is Microsoft's AI assistant, built directly into Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint. Unlike standalone AI chats like ChatGPT, Copilot is designed to work close to your work tools, documents and meetings inside Microsoft 365.

What can Copilot be used for in Word, Excel and Teams?

In Word, Copilot can draft, summarise and edit text. In Excel it can analyse data and explain content. In Teams it can summarise meetings and produce action points. In Outlook it helps you draft and prioritise email. The training shows concretely how to use Copilot in each tool.

Is Copilot better than ChatGPT?

Copilot and ChatGPT do partly different things. ChatGPT is strong as a standalone AI assistant for reasoning, writing and exploring ideas. Copilot is built into Microsoft 365 and has the advantage of sitting close to your documents, meetings, email and presentations. In the training, Peter shows when Copilot is the right fit — and when other AI tools are a better option.

Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot licences already?

No, not necessarily to attend the training. Parts of it can be run as a demonstration. But to practise hands-on on your own computers, you'll need access to Copilot licences. I can help you assess if and when that investment makes sense.

Is the training suitable for beginners too?

Yes. The training is designed to work for anyone who uses Microsoft 365 at work, regardless of prior AI knowledge. We start from the basics and build practical understanding step by step.

Can the training be adapted to our business?

Absolutely. I always tailor the content to your actual tasks and the tools you really use. That delivers much more value than a generic walkthrough.

Do you cover security and sensitive information?

Yes. It's an important area and always included. We go through what Copilot can see, what's sensitive to input, and how to work safely with confidential information.

Can the training be held online?

Yes, the training can be held online via Teams or on-site with you. Both formats work well. We agree on what suits your group best.

How big can the group be?

Typically 6–20 participants for a workshop feel. For larger groups, we can adapt the format to a more lecture-style walkthrough. Get in touch and we'll discuss what fits.

Ready to book, or want to know more?
